Become a Listener | HearMe

Be the person who picks up

Somewhere right now, someone is typing "I just need to talk." Listeners are the people who answer. We'll train you. You bring the showing up.

What Listeners actually do

One-on-one, text-based conversations with people who need to be heard. You don't fix anything. You don't give advice. You listen the way you wish someone had listened to you.

Listeners set their own hours on a platform that runs around the clock. Some take a chat on their lunch break. Some are night owls. Most say the same thing afterward: it helped them as much as the person they talked to.

You're a good fit if you:

  • Have lived through something and come out the other side with empathy to spare.
  • Can sit with someone's hard feelings without rushing to fix them.
  • Are 18 or older and comfortable with text-based conversation.
  • Can commit to training and to showing up when you say you will.
